Information on data protection concerning site usage and contact form
As the external data protection officer of Evangelisches Jugend- und Fürsorgewerk EJF gAG, Berlin, we (Althammer & Kill) operate a data protection declaration portal for our clients. In said portal you can use the contact form provided to contact our external data protection officer of Evangelisches Jugend- und Fürsorgewerk EJF gAG, Berlin.
The general provision and maintenance of our portal and contact form is carried out by the support of IT service providers working on our behalf, therefore also being able to view (and receive) your data to the required extent.

Purposes and means of data processing
When using the contact form
Your data is required and collected in order to process inquiries, data protection-related notices or violations. We process the data provided exclusively for the purpose of processing your inquiry and notices. When you contact us via the contact form, the data you provide (e.g. your name, e-mail address, telephone number, if applicable, and your message) will be stored by us in order to answer your question(s) or to process your inquiry. In the contact forms, the mandatory information required for this purpose is marked separately. Other declaration is voluntary.
For informational use of the data protection portal
For the informational use of our data protection portal, we only collect the personal data that your browser automatically transmits to us (so-called logs), such as:
- IP address
- Date and time of the request
- Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
- Content of the request (concrete page)
- Amount of data transferred and the access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.)
- Website from which the request comes
- Browser type / version / language
- Operating system and its interface
- Language and version of your browser.
Data security
Our contact systems support encrypted communication via SSL technology (TLS 1.2 incl. PFS). Nevertheless, highly confidential information should only be sent by mail. We process your data exclusively on German servers. It is beyond our control if access by government agencies of third countries occur.
Legal basis of data processing
The use of our contact form is voluntary. The person using our contact form is required to express their consent for the transmission of the information provided there, in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR.
In order to fulfill our data protection mandate with Evangelisches Jugend- und Fürsorgewerk EJF gAG, Berlin, personal data may be disclosed pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c) GDPR.
The log data is technically necessary to display our websites to you and to ensure stability and security, according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR.
The processing of your personal data in states outside the European Union and the European Economic Area does not occur.
Duration of storage
After collection, your data will be stored by Althammer & Kill GmbH & Co. KG for as long as is necessary to fulfill its purpose. This means that we delete or anonymize your personal data after clarification of the inquiry or after processing the information, 6 months at the latest. Longer duration of storage takes place if it is required or permitted for legal reasons. You can object to the storage at any time.
The storage period of present log data is 40 days.
Use of cookies
We use (transient) cookies for our data protection portal. Cookies are small text files, that are sent to your browser by our web server when you visit our website and are stored on your computer for later retrieval. They serve their purpose by improving the usability and effectiveness of your Internet experience. Transient cookies are automatically deleted when closing the browser. For instance, these include session cookies. They store a so-called session ID, with which various requests of your browser can be assigned to the joint browser session. This allows for your computer to be recognized when you return to the website. The session cookies are deleted when logging out or closing the browser.
Data subject rights
You have the following rights regarding to us processing your personal data.

Right to complain to a supervisory authority
You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about us processing your personal data. Thusly, the supervisory authority directly responsible for us is:

Right of objection and revocation
If you have given consent to the processing of your data, you are able to revoke consent at any time. Such revocation will affect the legitimacy of processing your personal data after you have expressed it to us.
Insofar as we base the processing of your personal data on the balance of interests (the legal basis in that case would be Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR), you may object to the processing. You have grounds to do so, if the data processing is not necessary for the performance of a contract with you. When claiming such an objection, we ask you to explain the reasons why we should not process your personal data as we did before. In the event of a justified objection, we will examine the merits of the case and either discontinue or adapt the data processing or show you our compelling legitimate grounds based on which we will continue the processing.
